For the Low Intermediate bikers who are confident enough in riding off a small gutter or over small roots and rocks, tackle the flow-style blue trails in this order: Grasshopper, Kosciuszko Flow, and Ricochet.
But if you’re one of those bikers who can maintain their momentum and ride through rocky and rooty sections of the trails, and are looking to increase speed on technical sections while learning to ride jumps and drops, the Paparazzi, Flow Link, Lower All-Mountain, and Upper All-Mountain are the trails for you to enjoy.
3. Fun at the Thredbo Leisure Centre:
When outside weather doesn’t permit you to enjoy outdoor activities, head to the Thredbo Leisure Centre and take a dip in the pool, hit the waterslide and splash in the water play area, or test your skills on the giant inflatable obstacle course. It’s a water wonderland for the whole family!
After a dip in the pool, or if you just want to sweat yourself for an adrenaline rush, head to the sports hall for a fun game of basketball, indoor soccer, netball or challenge each other to a game on the ping pong tables. There’s also an extensive gym fully equipped with a variety of weights and cardio training room, providing the rare opportunity to work out at over 1,360m altitude.
Not enough? Try traversing the bouldering wall or book in a session of squash.
4. Scenic Chairlift Rides:
Want a bird’s-eye view of the mountains? Hop on the Kosciuszko Chairlift to the top for amazing alpine vistas and start your way there to Thredbo’s alpine hiking tracks including the walkway to Mt Kosciuszko Summit.
