Conditions of Entry regarding Influenza & COVID-19 

Objective
  1. Boali Lodge recognises the significant adverse health impacts resulting from COVID-19 and Influenza viruses.
  2. The primary objective of the Lodge is to take all reasonable steps to ensure the health and safety of all people who choose to stay in and use the facilities of the Lodge. The purpose of implementing the Code of Conduct is to enable the Lodge to fulfil this primary objective.
  1. By seeking entry or entering onto the lodge premises each person is deemed to have consented to the provision of this Code of Conduct.
Conditions of Entry regarding Influenza & COVID-19 
  1. If the management staff reasonably believes that a person displays symptoms of COVID-19 and / or Influenza upon entry to the lodge, or while staying in and using the Lodge’s facilities, the Lodge may at its sole discretion refuse entry or direct the person to leave the Lodge’s premises. It is a condition of entry that a person complies with any direction given by the management staff in that regard.
Privacy
  1. If required, the collection and use of any health information will be for the purposes of allowing the Lodge to achieve the objectives in Clause 2 above.
  2. The Lodge will comply with any obligations in the Privacy Act 1988 in respect to any relevant health information.
Effective Date and Review Period
  1. This policy is effective from 21st June 2023.
  2. This policy will be reviewed on a regular basis and updated as required.

COVID-19 / Influenza Guest Code of Conduct

BEFORE YOUR VISIT
  1. If you are unwell or suffering from any Covid-19 or influenza symptoms, please do not visit the lodge. If you test positive to a RAT or PCR test you will be entitled to a credit or refund as per our Covid-19 cancellation policy:

A credit or refund will be offered to guests who are required to cancel a booking due to either: 

  1. i. COVID-19government-imposed travel restrictions, or;
  2. ii. an active COVID-19 / Influenza illness: – If you test positive for COVID-19 or influenza A /B from a rapid antigen test (RAT), the test result should be verified by the Boali booking officer.

iii.             awaiting PCR test results – upon production of the doctor’s certificate or screen shot of positive                      result.

Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation.

DURING YOUR STAY
  1. During your visit to Thredbo, please follow responsible social distancing and good hygiene practices both in the lodge and in the village. Covid-19 is still in the community and is highly transmissible even if you are fully vaccinated.
  2. Sanitiser is supplied throughout the lodge. Please sanitise your hands before entering the building and communal areas, and before using shared amenities.
FACE MASKS
  1. It is recommended to wear a mask if you develop a cough or sniffle to protect other guests from airborne transmission. Guests are welcome to wear masks in the common areas for their own personal protection.

Disposable masks are available at the lodge.

EVENT OF ILLNESS
  1. Any guest at the lodge who becomes unwell and is showing signs/symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or Influenza, are required to notify the managers and immediately self-isolate. Close contacts will be encouraged to isolate too. You will be asked to take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), which tests for both COVID-19 and Influenza A and B.
  2. Should this test be positivefor either COVID-19 or Influenza A or B you will need to vacate the lodge as soon as practical and travel directly home, even if this means leaving Boali during your booked stay.

While leaving the premises and returning to your place of residence, you should use appropriate personal protective measures (i.e. wear a face mask, and stay 1.5 meters away from any other person).

  1. Your close contacts may also be required to take a RAT if displaying symptoms.
  2. Should the test be negativeyou may be required to wear a mask in the common areas of the lodge for as long as you are exhibiting cold or flu symptoms to protect other guests. It is encouraged to remain in your guest room until symptoms recede. You may need to test again on succeeding days.

Lodge Management can provide RAT if required.

RESPONSIBILITY
  1. Parents of young children are responsible for ensuring their children observe the Guest Code of Conduct.
  2. It is expected that all guests are respectful and accountable in following the Code of Conduct. If you notice any guest who may not be complying responsibly, please speak privately with the lodge managers who will handle appropriately.
  3. Any decisions or instructions from the Lodge Management have the full support of the Board and should be adhered to with respect.
