Thank you for your enquiry about Boali Membership

Below is some further information about the lodge and membership. If you wish to be notified when a membership unit is next available for sale you’ll need to check your inbox and confirm your subscription to our Membership Interest email.

If it is not in your inbox within a few minutes please check your Updates, Junk or Spam folder.

This info below will also be emailed to you confirm your subscription.

Boali is set up as a unit trust. There are 150 units on issue. To become a member, you need to buy a unit from someone else.

We don’t have a “waiting list” as such. We maintain a list of people who have asked to be advised of potential membership sales. There are quite a few people on this list, but some have been there for at least a couple of years and haven’t shown interest when advertised a unit is for sale so it’s difficult to say how many are seriously interested.

When an existing member is interested in selling, they generally seek bids above a nominated minimum and by a specified date. I manage the process and, when the bidding period has expired, I put the highest bidder in touch with the seller. If they agree, we take it from there. Sometimes a seller will nominate a fixed price and the first respondent gets to buy the unit.

The most recent membership sale was for $45,500 and the previous two units were sold in mid-2021 for $37,800.

In addition to the purchase price of the unit, there is an annual subscription/levy, currently $600, due around November. This goes towards maintenance, capital works etc.

You can view and download the Boali Lodge “Management Rules” here, that set out what a member is entitled to and what’s expected of a member. Hopefully, you will find the answers to any questions you may have about benefits for family etc. If you become a unit holder, effectively, your spouse and children are also “members”.

As you may be aware, we are a club lodge but also welcome guests and public visitors as a way of subsidising members’ rates. Members’ accommodation rates are significantly lower than guests’ rates and members receive preference when booking.  There are also concessional rates for “extended family” and accompanied guests.

Head to our website to view the current Members, Members Guests and Extended Family rates here, or view the current Visitors rates here.
