One of Boali's guests, Kim Allchin, recounts a typical day at the lodge in winter:
"We’d stayed at Boali before but this was our first visit since the renovations to the lodge, which have made Boali even better and more comfortable than before. Breakfast as usual was excellent with a variety of cooked and cold options (fruit and yoghurt, cereal, bacon and eggs, toast, etc.), with sensational views up the mountain as a backdrop. Then on went the warm ski boots straight off the heated boot rack and a three minute walk to the slopes. As it had snowed the night before and we were early we were treated to fresh “first tracks”, as good as it gets anywhere in the world!! For lunch it was back to the lodge for a delicious variety of hot and cold options and a quick read of the paper. Then back on the hill for a few more top to bottom runs. Après was spent relaxing in the lounge by the fire with friends, red wine and the anticipation of a scrumptious and hearty dinner prepared by our in-house chef and hostess, Carolyn, including the best crème brulee ever!! We look forward to our next visit to Boali."
